Autogas now available in Stratford upon Avon

Nadhim Zahawi, MP for Stratford upon Avon, welcomed the availability of LPG to the area when he attended the Autogas motoring roadshow at Shell Bridgetown last week.

Mr Zahawi officially opened the LPG refuelling pump on the forecourt of the Shell site on Shipston Road, making the cost effective, environmentally beneficial fuel available to residents of Stratford upon Avon.

Commenting on the availability of LPG, Nadhim Zaha wi MP said: “The availability of LPG at Shell Bridgetown is very good news for motorists in the area. Not only is LPG better for the environment than petrol or diesel, but it is also less expensive per litre which can lead to significant savings and drastically reduce running costs.”

Liquefied Petroleum Gas, or LPG, has an established and easily accessible refuelling network and is available from 1,400 public refuelling points up and down the country including eight Autogas Limited sites in the West Midlands.

Paul Oxford, Autogas’ Business Development Manager, said “We are delighted to now offer autogas at Shell Bridgetown to both local motorists and visiting tourists who have needed a convenient refuelling point in Stratford for some time.”
